REMY Dorothy Christena Mason Remy, age 83, of Columbus, passed away May 22, 2005 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was born May 3, 1922 in Athens County, Ohio to the late Levi Joseph Mason and Lucy Chapman Mason. Dorothy was raised in Vinton County, Ohio and graduated from McArthur High School in 1940.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Delmar Nevan Remy, an infant son, sisters Opal Hunter and Gladys Harper, and her brother Delbert Mason. She is survived, and sadly missed, by her two sons, Delmar (Lorraine) and Ronald; two grandsons; two granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by her surviving sisters, Helen Minton and Emma Eileen Bentley; numerous nieces and nephews; the Remy family and her many friends and neighbors.
Dorothy was a long-time member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and was a member of Oakhurst Country Club. Her passions were her pride of family, her church and the game of golf.
Family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. 1st Ave., Grandview Hts., where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. Pastor Melonie Harnish officiating. Interment at Wesley Chapel Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 1150 W. 5th Ave., Columbus, OH 43212.
