Albert Richard Molt, 76, of 2C Apprentice Drive , Springfield , died Monday, December 13, 1999 , following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Columbus , Ohio , on August 12, 1923 , the son of Chester G. and Florence C. (Hauck) Molt and moved to Springfield in 1987. Mr. Molt served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II; retired from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources as a Division Chief with over 30 years service; he was a member of Briggsdale United Methodist Church, Westgate Lodge 623 Free and Accepted Masons, Aladdin Shrine, and Scottish Rite Masons, all in Columbus, and the Shrine Club in Springfield.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Mary (Smeck) Molt of Springfield , three brothers, Robert Molt, Chester (Glenna Samuels) Molt, Don (Barbara) Molt all of Columbus ; one niece, Christine (Jim) Bischoff of Columbus, one nephew, Rick (Karen) of Centerville, Ohio; four grandnieces and a host of friends including the Heart House Rehab Group, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Memorial Home with Rev. Keith Rhoden officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Rose Cemetery , Lancaster , Ohio .
