Calvin Hobbs

Calvin Hobbs died December 21, 2020 at age 87. He was born in Columbus, Ohio to John Preston and Mamie Dye Hobbs, the 4th of 7 sons. Calvin was preceded in death by brothers Franklin, Paul, Bill, and Richard.

Cal is survived by wife Rosemary, son Mark, daughter Leann, both of Oregon, son Michael Hobbs, Indianapolis, daughter Lisa Latimer of Lewis Center, step-daughter Laura Johnston of Dublin. He is also survived by 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, Amanda Hobbs of Columbus, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Bob Hobbs and George Hobbs also survive.

Cal had been the Business Operations Administrator for the Division of Wildlife when he retired from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. He also worked for SCOA Industries. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and woodworking. He is famous for all the bird feeders he made as gifts.

Due to the Corona pandemic, a memorial will be held in 2021. Arrangements are being handled by SCHOEDINGER NORTH, Columbus.
