MALTA – Frank H. Brown Jr., 78, of 1191 Ohio 78 West, Malta, died at 9:13 a.m. Friday (March 7, 2003) in the emergency room at Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center.
He was born June 7, 1924, in Hocking County to Frank and Dorothy McDaniel Brown. He was retired from the Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife after 40 years. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Brown was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4713 at Malta and Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of American Legion Post 24 at McConnelsville; AmVets Post 2174 at McConnelsville; Fraternal Order of Eagles at McConnelsville; Ohio Farm Bureau; Ohio Game Protectors Association; Wildlife Management Association; Public Employees Retirement Association; Morgan County Re-enactors Association; and Port of Morgan Boat Club.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Rosser Brown, whom he married on Oct. 1, 1949; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Helen Brown and Dorothy Sherman; and one brother, Bill Brown.

Services are at 1 p.m. Monday at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Burial is in Malta Cemetery with military rites by the Morgan County Veterans. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
