James A. Bunn, age 62, of Fredericktown, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, July 21, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 27, 1950 in Bloomington, IL, son of the late Willard and Wilma (Zigler) Bunn.
James was fortunate to make a living out of his passion for wildlife as a Supervisor for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. His family and friends were fortunate that he also shared his passion with them, encouraging a love of nature and passing on his wisdom of hunting and fishing to his sons and grandchildren.
Known simply as “B” to his closest friends and family, the impact on the lives he touched was anything but simple, as his great generosity, his knack for storing-telling and general love of life left a considerable mark on many people. His greatest passion was to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Cap.”
James is survived by his loving wife, Christine (Ward) Bunn, whom he married on March 21, 1987; sons, James A. (Christy) Bunn, Jr. and Jason (Tara) Bunn of Heath; stepchildren, Nathan (Alison) Misencik of Tampa, FL, Tiffani Misencik of Indianapolis, IN; and Britney Misencik of Fredericktown; grandchildren, Jacob and Jenna Bunn; Brady and Bailey Misencik, and Camden and Emmerson Smith; and his sister, Nancy Bunn of Cincinnati.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of a celebration of life service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Fredericktown First Presbyterian Church, 17 South Main St., Fredericktown.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Rd., Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.
