Jerry Franklin Cremeans, 79, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Friday, January 11, 2019, at 9:41 a.m. at his home. He had been in failing health.
Jerry was born September 23, 1939, in Eleanor, WV to Okey and Virginia Ellen Taylor Cremeans. He lived 11 years at Ray in Vinton County, Ohio before returning to Washington Court House in 2014.
He was Fayette County Game Warden for 25 years.
Jerry was a member of the Fayette County Fish and Game Association. He served in the U.S. Air Force for ten years and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in McArthur and the McArthur Eagles Lodge.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Liddy Wilson and three brothers, Richard, Ralph and Charles Cremeans.
Jerry is survived by his wife, the former Terry Winland whom he married January 23, 1980. Also surviving are three children, Deborah (John) Schlichter of Delaware, Ohio, Renee VanDyke of Washington Court House and Lisa (J.R.) Wilson of Zimmerman, MN; 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three brothers, Ronald (Marilyn) Cremeans of Austin, Ohio, Okey Cremeans, Jr. of Burlington, OH and William (Barbara) Cremeans of Colorado Springs, CO; a sister, Donna (James) Napoli of Phoenix, AZ and many special friends
In keeping with his wishes, cremation took place and there will be no visitation or service.
