Norman L. Myers

Mr. Myers, age 80 of St. Louisville, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 27, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 12, 1934 in Northeast Ohio the son of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Bartok) Myers. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Norm was a retired Wildlife Officer with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. He was a member of many wildlife organizations and gave back to the community as a volunteer in many community activities. He was a member of Eden Church of Christ holding various church offices.

Norm is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Emma Jean Myers; children, Linda (Vaughan) Richards of Fallsburg, OH, Joseph (Patricia Ann) Myers of Fallsburg and Mary Kay (Terry) Jenkins of St. Louisville; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, his brother, Donald R. Myers, one grandchild and one great grandchild preceded Norm in death.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of Central Ohio or to Eden Church of Christ is suggested by the family.

Funeral services for Norman L. Myers will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street, Newark. Interment will follow at Eden Cemetery with military honors rendered by Licking County Veterans Alliance. The family will receive friends and acquaintances 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour before Thursday service at the funeral home.
