Paul “P.J.” Pfister, 68, formerly of Castalia, died Saturday afternoon, March 5, 2008, in Twilight Gardens in Norwalk, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 31, 1940, in Lynchburg, Ohio, and was a graduate of Lynchburg High School. He was also a graduate of Wilmington College. He was manager of the fish hatchery in Kincaid, Ohio, and was manager of the fish hatchery for Owens-Illinois until his retirement.
P.J. is survived by his wife, the former Kathy Gregory; one daughter, Brandy West of Hillsboro, Ohio; one son, Parker Pfister of Columbus; one stepdaughter, Tracy Byington of Sandusky; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bea Pfister and a brother, Charles Pfister.
At the request of the deceased, his body was donated to Case Western Reserve University, School of Medicine,in Cleveland, followed by cremation. Private services will be later.
