RAFFLE, Thomas “Ed,” 70, of Amsterdam, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Steubenville, Ohio.
A son of the late William and Edith Davison Raffle, he was born Aug. 24, 1942, in Salineville, Ohio.
Ed worked for 36 years and retired as a fish management supervisor for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, June, Cindy, Shirley; one brother, Daniel; and a step son, Michael Morgan.
He is survived by two daughters, Lora Atha and Donnie Hamilton of Salineville and Angela (Kenneth) Smith of Dellroy, Ohio; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; two sisters, Mary Jean Brown of Dennison and Linda (Livio) Miller of Wellsville; two brothers, John (Jack) Raffle of Wellsville and Donald (Ginny) Raffle of Wellsville; his companion, Barbara Morgan of Amsterdam; two stepdaughters, Jena Harsh of Amsterdam and Lori (Ed) Williams of Orlando, FL; stepson, Charles Morgan of Amsterdam; seven step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 24, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Amsterdam. Burial will follow in Highlandtown Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
