Wesley R. Jones, age 91, of Washington CH died at 12:35 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003 at Auburn Manor. He was born on May. 19, 1912 in Ross County, the son of the late Grover and Sarah Anna Hardman Jones. On Oct. 7, 1932, he married the former Edna Ruth Guess who preceded him in death on May 3, 1989.
Surviving are two daughters: Patricia (Robert) Metzger of Williamsport and Sara Jane Pelfrey of Dayton. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; Crystal (Larry) Sowers, Lori (Kamran) Farshchi, Keith (Sheila) James, Jodi (Carl) Bolivar, and Scott James, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and a brother, William F. (Sylvia) Jones of Washington CH. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Virgil and Richard “Casey” Jones.
Wesley was a retired diary farmer and had also retired from the Division of Wildlife, State of Ohio. For many years he drove a school bus for the Frankfort School System. He was an avid coonhunter and spent a lot of time enjoying his time hunting.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort with his grandson, Keith James officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of one’s choice.
